Airtightness and ventilation are distinct services.
An airtightness registration does not establish ventilation validator status. The required competence, applicable scheme and deliverable are confirmed when agreeing the ventilation scope.
Is this the same as a blower-door test?
No. A blower-door test measures leakage through the building envelope. Ventilation tests assess the planned airflow or leakage of the ventilation system.
What should I send before booking?
Tell us the system type, building use and stage of installation. Include design airflow rates, drawings and any commissioning records you have.
What if the airflow does not meet the design?
The measured shortfall is recorded for review with your installer or project team. Further adjustment and repeat measurements can then be discussed.
